| Do I need to wait a certain amount of time before calling my OB/GYN to go get a first appointment after getting a positive test at home? Sorry so clueless. |
| I would call and ask. My doctor won’t see you before 8 weeks. |

It's different everywhere! Call and let them know of the positive test and ask what next steps are.
Congratulations! |

I got a positive at-home test last Wednesday and by Friday had both called my endo and my OB/GYN to schedule appointments and med adjustments. I was told by Georgetown that they won't see you before 8 weeks - I have an appointment at the early 9 week mark. My endo was the one that pressured me to make an OB appt immediately just to have it scheduled with whoever had availability - which does seem to be an issue in this area. I only had two appointment date and time options when I called.
Congrats! |
| Agree with everyone else. Call now to schedule the appointment. Your office will decide when it's best to see you, but scheduling a day of the week and time of day that works best for you can be challenging if you wait too long to call, even if the appointment is 2 months from now. |
