| I saw on another thread that JMU only looks at your grades. Is there a list of colleges (or does anyone know of others) that only look at grades? DD gets good grades and takes top classes, but doesn't like participating in things so is pretty weak at extracurriculars. |
| Your transcript is by far the most important thing at every competitive college. Please don't consider your DD at a disadvantage, it is the best thing you can have. |
| I think 3.6 gpa guarantees admission to WSU no matter which HS in US. If you are a resident of Texas, high enough gpa gets you in a UT |
What on earth is WSU? |
Nobody here is a resident of TX |
| Of course they are. |
| Washington State? |
Don’t be an a$$. Washington State is a perfectly goo school. What’s your problem?
|
| *good |
NP. WSU is not a commonly mentioned school I this area so it’s not surprising people are asking for clarification. |
Thank you, this is the type of list I was looking for. I see JMU is not on this list so if anyone else knows of universities (especially those relatively close to the dc area), please let me know. |

I don't have evidence that these schools are stats-only, but from our admissions experience this past spring, these schools place heavy emphasis on the transcript: Pitt, Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, and UK schools Warwick, University College London, and King's College London.
Note that these acceptances or offers were not for STEM if intended major was indicated on the application. |
I agree. I have never heard of it. |
So who’s the a$$ now? Washington State is on the list! |
