Planning and waitlists aside, any recommendations for daycares in/near Silver Spring?

Also what part of SS? It's a huge area...

Age? Location in SS? Home daycare or center preference?

Bright Horizons
MCCA KFG
Karasik
Goddard
Easter Seals*

*maybe someone can provide some recent feedback on this one, for a while ES seemed to have a lot of problems

Also where do your commutes take you (if you anticipate a commute)? We live in 20910 and used a daycare in Rockville because the SS ones either didn't take infants or had massive waiting lists. With a 2yo it may be easier.

If I was commuting to DC I would personally not want to drive up to Forest Glen given how congested that area is during rush hour.

Karasik was having a lot of admin turnover. Not sure how that turned out in the end.

Not sure where that area code is but we loved DeeDees place in Fairland. Very low staff turnover and very nurturing. They take them at 18 mos but we started at 17 mos because they had space.

Are you open to preschool with before care/after care? Evergreen Montessori has a wonderful toddler program.

I would add Kids Adventures Academy (KAA) at the Takoma Park Elementary School to this list, though I think the 2-year-old class may be full for fall. Our 4-year-old daughter is there and we’re very happy with it.
