I'm voting for Marc Elrich

I'm voting for Marc Elrich for re-election in 2022, and I'd probably even vote for him in 2026 if he ran. I think he's doing a great job. I enjoyed not dying of COVID, and not giving away free money (subsidy and tax break) to wealthy real estate Oligarchs.

Elrich is an incompetent moron. The County's infrastructure is going to pot, and businesses are leaving in droves. I will go door-to-door and donate the maximum to defeat him.

Marc Elrich is the liberal version of Trump. (And I'm a liberal democrat). I neither love developers nor Cops, I do believe Unions have WAY to much power. (Have you read about the FOP and all they do to stop police officers from being held accountable. Google the LEOBR).The Montgomery County FOP will do everything it can to stop police accountability. Same with the employee's union. But, I do believe our leaders should be competent. Elrich is not.

The council is more responsible for the lack of funding for infrastructure, as they control the capital budget. The executive mainly implements the approved budget, including contracts, as well discretion on design aspects to the projects. But the council is the main driver of what goes in the CIP and when it is delivered. The hundreds of promised but undelivered projects are directly at the feet of the council and no one else.
