Best practice protocols for those very cautious about covid ONLY (please).

We have a nearly three year old and ten-month-old. DH, nanny and I, as well as all adults the kids see, are vaccinated. The baby is EBF and I’m fully vaccinated so she may be getting some protection but no one knows for sure.

My concern is non vaccinated adults and other children.

Are you (who feel similarly) only doing outdoor play for now? What about libraries and stores?

Thank you!

I rarely bring my kids to stores so if you’re that worried - don’t do it or go at an off time.

If you want to go the library & are worried - why don’t you go at a less crowded time and see how it goes?

If you are choosing to be Covid cautious, why does it matter what other families are doing?

What do you mean see how it goes? Monitor for symptoms? If you aren’t comfortable use the drive up.

Your three year old has vaccinated friends?

We have similarly aged kids and concerns. We’ll be doing get-together outside only this summer and staying away from our playground during busy hours. Nothing indoors. No library just yet.

We’ll reassess in the fall. Our oldest is set to start half-day preschool and we’ve yet to hear their covid restrictions.

You know she meant the adults. Stop being tiresome.

OP and I want to hear what other covid-cautious parents are doing.

I guess I meant see how crowded it is and how comfortable you feel.

We are in a similar boat. Child is medically vulnerable. We only gather outside with others with masks---nothing indoors. No libraries. Lots to do outside in summer so trying to make the most of that.

We do outside only and only have play-dates with kids whose parents and nannies are vaccinated and gatherings with adults who are vaccinated. No stores, no library, no indoor, no indoor public places. No airplanes ( )

Same. Outside only and only with vaccinated adults. We’ve even been staying away from tourist areas and playgrounds.

My toddler wears a mask when we have to go to the doctor. Can’t think of anything else we do inside.

We are starting to inch our way into the world. My son ran a few errands with me last week. They were quick in and outs. All play dates are outside, as are any restaurant meals. We have started going back to church, but families are all distanced and masks are required. This is all we are willing to do for now.

Outside only. Nothing inside yet. Luckily everyone we know and hang with are vaccinated parents.

Same as above. Outdoors only with other children and inside only with vaccinated adults. No stores or libraries now since we don’t have the mask requirements anymore.
