| My doctor didn’t have a good answer for me, he couldn’t really say. Wondering who here works out on it? Is it safe/does it affect you at all? |
|
I take 40mg in the AM. I usually workout mid afternoon-sometime between 1 and 4 depending on the day.
I think I sweat more than I did before the meds. I sometimes don’t sleep well, so I used to have days where I’d just be really tired and groggy pre workout. That is probably less common now, as I’m more alert even without great sleep. But these are both pretty small, incremental changes. Not like world changing. Is there some reason you’re asking? Is it dangerous to workout on Vyvanse? My doctor didn’t say anything about it. |
I’ve only googled a little bit/didn’t do much research yet but I feel so much more anxious and as if my heart rate is higher on Vyvanse so I wasn’t sure if it would be dangerous to work out on it. I’m thinking of trying to workout first thing in the morning and then take it right after. I’d have to work out in the evening if not and by then I’m so tired and crashing from the Vyvanse being worn off |
| Vyvanse takes 1.5-2hrs to kick in, so if you have it in you to work out in the morning without the benefit of vyvanse, do it right when you take the med. I personally can’t get myself to work out when I don’t have the med because well, ADHD and all that jazz. So I work out in the evening, usually after putting the kids to bed. I sleep much better that way too. |
| When I took it in the morning before working out I felt like it made my heart race and thus made me anxious and worried (so more heart racing...). I just take it right when I get home from working out instead. |
