| My father is always walking around while eating something. No plate, just a napkin to hold the food. Crumbs everywhere. I saw in another post on DCUM someone mentioned their MIL was walking around eating a cupcake in their hotel room. Is this behavior common among older people? |
| What's the big deal? |
| It makes a mess (that they don’t clean up themselves). |
|
well my DH does it, so now my kids do it, and I can't control it. The way to control it is for me to not clean up after them, but for reasons not relevant here I'm not doing that, so I've made peace with the crumbs.
it has to do with people that don't have to clean up after themselves, they take advantage of those who clean up after them without realizing it. In tort law, it's called the "moral hazard" that happens when someone else has "strict liability" |
| It’s not an age thing as*hole. |
| I walk around eating but I also walk around cleaning, regardless of whether I have been walking around eating. This does not seem like a age thing. |
IKR??? What is up with these morons on DCUM who want to say everything is because someone is older? That old karma bus is going to flatten them one day. |
| Why are all old people so crotchety? |
