Infertility Support and Discussion
I am currently 7dp5dt. I am impatient and didn't want to wait for my beta, which is this Friday, so I POAS this morning and a very faint line appeared. Could this still be HCG from the trigger shot? I have had positive results in the past but all 3 ended in miscarriage, 1 chemical and 2 at 8 weeks, so I am cautiously optimistic. Anyone else impatient like me and use hpt before beta? I am about to turn 39 and we are so ready to start our family. I hope this is our chance!
Yes, I always took a hpt the day before my beta. I waited as long as possible for accuracy. I'd rather know before going in. I've had too many sad nurse phone calls. Good Luck
OP, I hope things went well for you on Friday. I just had to giggle at the title of your post a little bit... because I used about 200 hpt's before my betas on all three of my IVF cycles....

Not still the trigger. Congrats. That was the first day I got a + also for both PGs.
I always tried to make myself wait, but I could never do it. On my cycle that worked, I got my first very faint line at 4dp6dt. The lines got darker from there and I ended up with a positive beta. Hope this is the one for you!

I tested at home the day before my scheduled beta for my first IUI. Negative. I remember being really heart-broken. So for my second cycle I decided to wait for my beta - and it came back positive!
Hope you hear good news, OP! |
My official test was for a Fri and I tested the Wed am - strong line but twins helped that I am sure! Best of Luck!
I think I have you all beat in the HPT overload department! I tested everyday post HCG to see if the shot was out of my system and it was at 3dpt of a single blast from NCIVF then I noted a faint positive at 7dpt and a definitely + at 8dpt. I felt doing the HPT's gave me some sense of control even though I know they were a waste of money. Good Luck
Congrats PP, my DH has mild male factor and we have done 4 IUI's at SG and they say we should do IVF, but I'm interested in NCIVF since so far nothing has been wrong with me and I don't want to do the drugs. How old are you and how many times did you try?
