| Two weeks postpartum here and still wearing giant pads and Depends. I’m not soaking the pads or passing clots but it’s a pretty steady flow. Just wondering on average how long this goes on. Vaginal birth with one small tear. |
| 4 weeks, then my period came back at 6 weeks even though I was EBF. This REALLY differs person to person, I was told, and is normal as long as you don't reach certain metrics (like soaking a pad an hour). |
| 6 weeks and it was miserable! Uncomplicated vaginal birth and EBF. My OB said 4-6 weeks and I couldn’t find much published, but did come across this paper, https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10772198/ (range 17-51 days; median 36 days). |
I bled for about 10 days both times then didn't get my period back for a year, and months after I stopped BF. It really just depends on your body. |
| Six weeks. I had no idea that it could go that long. |
| 6 weeks each time. |
| 4 weeks. 2 weeks of serious bleeding and 2 weeks that were more like a light period. I had some spotting around 5-6 weeks when I overdid it with physical activity but I got some rest, took it easy and the spotting stopped. Vaginal birth, 2nd degree tear, EBF. Period came back around 12 weeks. |

6 weeks.
I hated it. |
| 5 weeks |
| 6 weeks, but then for a week or two I’d have spotting every few days if I’d been very active that day. Full period at 10 weeks (not nursing). Vaginal induction birth. |
|
6 weeks. And then got my period 22 months postpartum.
I was surprised at how long I bled. My periods have always been NBD, pretty light flow. I think the bleeding tailed off towards the end of 6 weeks but I'd get a heavier flow if I lifted anything heavy like the stroller. |
| 6 weeks |
| I think it was close to 6 weeks both times. It would stop for a couple of days, and I would think I was in the clear, and then it would return with a vengeance. |
| I’ll be 3 weeks pp Thursday and I still am although it’s just been spotting for the last week and a half. Wish it would just wrap up already |
| I stopped bleeding at 6 weeks. I had an easy vaginal birth (I pushed twice) and a second degree tear. I started working out 12 days postpartum (get approved to work out 10 days postpartum by my OBGYN). EBF and got my period back at 21 weeks. |
