Preschool payment

Our son’s preschool program ends this Friday, June 18 and then next week starts their “summer camp” which is only available on a weekly pay basis vs paying for a month in the preschool program. Does it make sense we would pay the whole month and then begin to pay on a weekly basis? Shouldn’t we pay on prorated basis for June?

I used to be a pre-schooler teacher at a facility with that schedule. The yearly tuition was divided into equal payments for the year based on operating costs for the number of weeks of school. It is easier to charge people the same monthly tuition rather than make the first and last months lower costs. The operating costs for the summer camp are not factored into the yearly cost. That is why you would start paying the weekly camp fee in June even though you also have your last monthly tuition payment.

This is what our school does. It makes planning easier for all involved.

What if we’re not doing the summer camp? It’s our last month here since we’re moving. We also started off the waitlist in October

Comprehension issues? The cost for sept 1 through June 15th is divided by 10 and you pay every month.
