Hi there! I'm getting ready for my second baby but need to lose some weight before that. Does anyone knows if Alli (xenical) are safe when you are trying to get pregnant? Thanks in advance! |
I dont think Alli is really all that safe when you arent trying to get pregnant. I'd be careful with it. |
I don't think the product has been out long enough for anyone to say whether it is safe or not.
Have you considered just a healthy diet & exercise? It really is the best way to go. |
You could have your pre-prenatal appointment with you regular GYN now, get a check up, discuss your plans to conceive (even if you plan to wait six months) and ask the doctor. You'll probably want to have this appointment a few months before you start trying to conceive anyway because it is best to have prenatal vitamins in your system for a few months before conceiving. Good luck! |
PP's suggestion to talk to your doctor is great. Personally, I would be nervous about taking a new drug like that while TTC.
Not to sound like an ad, but have you tried Weight Watchers? It's working wonders for me. Everybody, even doctors, told me for years to eat less and exercise more, but that is easier said than done. On Weight Watchers I have learned how to actually put that into practice. I do the online version, or you can go to meetings. Good luck with whatever you do! |
