| Hi, considering moving to DMV and have read about George Mason HS. Anyone with real experience about this school? Especially interested in IB schools and this seems like a small school amongst many very large schools. |

| It’s in its own district in falls church city. That’s why it’s smaller. |

Search and you can see previous discussions. FCCPS is very small and there are pros and cons with that.
There will be a lot of changes in the future since they recently restructured administration and they are adopting a new form or grading. |

Nope. Middle and high schools will each have their own principals. The current principal of the middle school is being promoted to a newly created position, head of secondary schools, with oversight over the whole campus. I think a lot of her duties will be coordinating resources and schedules between the two schools, as right now there’s lots of sharing but not as much strategy as there could be. |

Key words from PP - I think. No one knows. They created another admin position called Head of Schools and another position in Central Office. The current high school principal will be in central office. We do not know how this will affect the middle and high school. |
