I have worn Reef's the last few summers but I don't find them that comfortable nor that attractive.
I do not want a platform flip flop, Jack Rogers sandals aren't my style, and I don't want something as crunchy as a birkenstock or a born... Is there anything else out there that fits my bill for something that I can wear all summer long, look decent in, and not have my feet hurt at the end of the day? I can't find it... Thanks! |
Check out Havaianas (Zappos has them). They are like a regular flip flop but with really cute designs.
Second that. Comfortable and really well made too.

I LOVE my Crocs flip flops. They're pretty basic looking but so comfy. Bought them when we were at Disneyland and I was pregnant and my regular comfy shoes were killing my feet. They were the only shoes I could find to buy (except for regular Crocs, and I wasn't doing that!), and I never wore flip flops before, but I still love them. So comfy--wore them around the house my entire pregnancy. Getting a black pair this summer.

Not OP,but they look cute. Any idea where they might be sold locally? |
I also like Havaianas, and prefer the ones with the regular thick 'arms'. A couple of years ago bought the cuter variety with the thinner 'arms' and they are not as comfortable.
Nordstrom
My teens swear by Rainbows - the leather flip flops. I like J Crew's flip flops. They are very comfortable and have cute patterns. I have several. I like the thicker ones better but the thin ones are fine too.
Are the Havaianas really that comfortable? They don't look like the offer any kind of real support for the foot--just a flat piece of rubber. Are they okay for walking or wearing all day, or just "cute"?
Havainas are super comfortable, I would've never believed it by the look of them - but then I tried on a pair and wore them all summer. That's some piece of design engineering.
Saw Havaianas at Bloomies today but the selection at Zappos is better.
Eliza B makes the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned, and they come in a ton of different colors/patterns. They're on the pricey side for flip flops, but they're comfortable and durable enough to make it worth it.
