blue shampoo/brunettes

Does anyone use a blue shampoo?

I've heard brunettes can use blue, as opposed to purple, shampoo to combat the orange tones that dyed brunette hair can sometimes fade to. Anyone have good results with this or a recommendation?

I’m a brunette using blue shampoo for blonde highlights. It hasn’t helped with the brown turning brassy. I think I need more ash to circumvent that issue. The shampoo doesn’t seem to help.

Following. I don’t dye, but my cool toned brunette usually has nice rusty colored ends.

i just started using blue toning drops (called "Mixtape" I think) in my conditioner. Not sure if it's actually helping or I just think it is.

I have tried Redken blue shampoo. I like it and it is sulfate free and color safe (clearly it should be). I just used for first time with nice results and plan to use once per week

Aveda blue malva shampoo gets rid of the brassy tones in my reddish brown hair. It can be drying so I use every other shampoo.

+1. Natural level four lifted to 5 or 6 and I use the Redkn blue shampoo and conditioner 2x a week.
