Camera for kid with phone- looking for recommendations

| My nine year old loves taking photos on my phone and editing them. He doesn’t have his own phone and I have no plans to get him one. At there any digital cameras that are similar to using an iPhone or offer a similar editing experience? |

Yeah, you can rig up an old phone to just take pictures. You can keep a few books/games on it too, and have it hook up to wifi at home if you want.
Or you can do a kids tablet or kindle with a camera. Bigger to carry around, though. |
