Updated Club Rankings (girls and boys)

No ranking system is perfect, of course, but provides some information.

These rankings really don't mean anything at all. I know of a club team that beat 3 top 15 programs and didn't even make the rankings, yet college coaches keep coming back to that program to recruit in some top 30 schools. I wouldn't put to much stock in these rankings at all.

These are basically MadLax rankings and are more of a marketing tool than anything else.

I don't know that the rankings are worthless. I checked several years on the girls side, and the ranking look fairly accurate based on what I've seen at tourneys.

Absolutely worthless on both girls and boys side. Someone likes to stir the pot by bringing this none sense up

Not sure about the boys, but the girls look close to spot on. They use a formula. The girls results are similar to NGLL results with a few other teams mixed in.

Agree, but pretty funny that the regular Madlax team is ranked ahead of its world series team.

These look pretty damn on point for high school aged girls. Anyone saying they aren’t is not being honest.

Just looking at the 2022 top 20, hard to argue that any team is more than 3 away from where it belongs - other than maybe Crabs and MadLax which are rated too highly on program reputation and not the specific team's strength, or in this case weakness.

Girls side, Yellow Jackets isn't in the 25s list and they are definitely the #1 team. I'm guessing since they haven't played a tournament in a year they aren't there, so can't put much stock into these lists...

Girls side is generally close to correct, but agree YJ underrepresented (in MS) likely because don’t play spring league. Their strongest 26 team should be top 5ish and the Traditions team should not be on there - looks like a “mistake” when you click on game schedule.

But I would not say the information on the girls side is useless or even close to, especially if you look at where “local” teams are ranked against each other.

good rankings for MD teams. problem is when you can't submit 90% of non-MD tournaments, these really aren't national rankings.
