| Capital Caring hospice has been horrible for my mother. Can we switch to another hospice? Who do you recommend? Thank you. |

Vitas hospice
Mine just died under there care Monday |
| Capital Caring was great with my mom. |
| Montgomery Hospice. |
| VITAS |
What are you looking for? In general, if hospice is in the home, it is extremely skeletal. They will get you equipment and supplies but not a lot of care. Once a week nurse visit, every other week social worker visit, once a month doctor visit, 2-3x a week 30 minute bath visit. It is not a 24/7 thing. |
| I do not recommend Capital Caring. |
|
I'm looking for communication. There is very little and even then initiated by me. I'm not looking for a 24/7 thing. But just basic communication.
I have dealt with hospice in the past. Capital Caring is horrible. |
| Also did not like Capital Caring. But once with them, it was hard to switch. I’m sorry OP. |
| Montgomery Hospice |
| Reviving this as we are currently deciding between VITAS and Capital Caring. If you had a good or bad experience with either, could you elaborate? My mom had been leaning toward Capital Caring, so the negative reviews above are of interest to me. |
| Stay far far far away from Capital Caring. I heard this many times and didn't listen. Horrible. |
| PP here. No shows. Changed nurses multiple times. No response to calls or emails. Social worker is a waste of space. I can't say enough about how horrible. Worthless and at a time when we are really needing support. None there. Stay far away. |
