Nutrition and IVF

Anonymous
Anyone have any book recommendations in terms of keeping up with your health and nutrition while undergoing IVF? We're getting ready to put together our first IVF protocol and I want to do some reading about how to stay healthy while shooting myself up with all these fertility drugs.

Thanks!

i'm also in search of such a book, but this question was asked before and there doesn't seem to be a book out there that addresses this. but what i have pieced together from doctors and friends who had successful IVF cycles: fruits, vegetables, no or reduced intake of caffeine/alcohol, meat free of antibiotics/hormones, increased intake of fiber, and use glass containers for food storage and reheating, throw away all plastic containers. My RE also told me that studies have not been done on how soy intake affects estrogen levels during IVF, so if you eat soy products, reduce that intake as well. hope this helps. everyone is different, of course there are women who don't modify their diet at all and are successful, but it can't hurt to try everything. good luck.

Yes, there is a book, by a RE from Cali:
Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility
by Dr Robert Greene.

Can only recommend it!
