Charter schools -- help!

Will someone help me, please? What are the excellent charter schools with pre-K programs that are located in NW DC? Think Chevy Chase DC, AU, Cleveland Park, Friendship Heights.

why do you want charter? Chevy Chase, AU, Cleveland Park and Friendship Heights all feed into some of the top DC elementary schools. They have a lottery for the pre-K programs and being in bounds you have a serious shot of getting in.

Pre-schools aren't daycare. The good ones have actual curricula and academic goals (early literacy & numerancy, fine motor skills and cooperative social skills).

There aren't any charter pre-schools in that area, but there are a couple of good ones in Columbia Heights. Check out Bridges PCS and Appletree Early Learning Center. They're both pretty highly regarded.
