LCPS honor cords

Our HS is not giving out cords for the top 5% of the class. Is this typical? Are they only for honor societies?

Cords are usually for different honor societies. I think sum places do them for magna cum lauda or summa cum lauda.

Wait until people figure out their 4th grader won't be able to take Algebra until 9th and won't be able to take Calculus until 12th if at all.

??? Tell that to my DS who is sporting four cords on graduation next week. Nice try though.
OP he is also top 5% and apparently they will be getting a white tassel for their cap.
