Applied to adopt an older cat 2 weeks ago

When I asked, the rescue said they're planning to review applications soon and she hasn't been adopted yet.

I saw a few people had posted similar questions on their Facebook page about different cats and they replied they hadn't reviewed applications yet.

Just curious how long this process usually takes.

Totally depends on the rescue.

That’s weird. You could go to the shelter and walk out with an older cat today. Is this a breed specific rescue?

Not breed specific. Just a sweet 4yo cat.

Some rescues get a little overwhelmed with applications, especially during "kitten season." If the adoption falls through, check out Patriot Pawsabilities in Fairfax. They've got a bunch of cats and kittens up for adoption.
