We are building a new house, brown looks outdated and dont like white and gray. We were thinking midnight blue kitchen cabinets with cambria berwyn quartz countertop and the butlers pantry white cabinets with the same countertop, appliances are stainless st., inside the beltway. for resale in say 10 years--does this work? |
No. |
If you're staying for 10 years - do what you like! That's a long time to live with something you don't love. |
Seriously this. I love the look of blue cabinets. Go for it. Who knows what will be fashionable in ten years time? If you're selling and the fashion is different, change it then. |
+1 |
Agree with all the above. |
+1 I have dark green cabinets, so... |
I like the look of navy cabinets. Go for it.
I would make sure you get a lot of natural light. I wouldn't worry about resale in 10 years. Worry about 10 years in 10 years. |
I love navy cabinets with a bright white counter. If my kitchen had more light I would go for navy as well. |
The first thing that people who buy your house will do is paint those cabinets white, but that’s not your problem at all. Go for it. |
Will look dated but if you like it that’s what matters |
I'm considering the same, OP. Getting ready to redo our kitchen next spring. I know 'all white' is THE THING, but I'm really not a fan of that or grey & white. I love the look of darker blue cabinets with a bright countertop. |
If you love it, great, but it will date v fast. |
I love it and am considering the same thing.
I'm someone who tends to wear a lot of black and gray, but navy and white are my decorating neutrals. |
We have this. Navy perimeter with wood island. White quartz. I love it! |
