looking for a place near San Jose and also beach

| I am considering spending a week in an Airbnb and taking my teen to see San Francisco, relatives in San Jose (here we'd go at least 3-4 times) and the beach (Santa Cruz and Capitola). any ideas as to where I could look? I found camping-like places in Boulder Creek... |

Where in San Jose?
Santa Cruz is only 30 minutes without traffic to the south western side of SJ. You can take Clatrain from one of the SJ stations into SF. I wouldn’t drive. If you want to stay closer to relatives you could look for an Airbnb in Los Gatos, Campbell, or Saratoga. Look for something walking distance to the Main Street/town area. I’d do a house close to the beach in Santa Cruz or Capitals and just be mindful of traffic patterns going up and down to San Jose. Be careful driving on 17. It doesn’t bother me but some people think it’s too winding and fast. |
