U13 girls team?

Anonymous
Moving to the area late summer- probably Fairfax County and would like to find our rising u13 a good travel team. I know it is super late in the process but I always here that teams are willing to at least look at good players. She is currently on a pre-ECNL team so would be open to ECNL or one step down. I found team contact info and was just going to reach out but wanted to see if anyone had recommendations or teams to not even try with because rosters are packed.

BRYC should have openings for her. That coach is good too.

If you can get to Arlington, go to Arlington. Otherwise, depends on where you live.

VDA is excellent, McLean is excellent, BRYC has been but younger ages are showing weaknesses. FCV is a big question mark; they've always been great but the no ECNL thing may be a thing.

we want to see talents equally distributed, among all things including soccer. Please, please go to BRYC.

lol Arlington? Do your due diligence. Make sure the program and coach is a fit. The good thing is there are lots of choices in this area including GA and other club non ECNL clubs. Also remember traffic will pick up by the fall...like a lot.

Many did not accept offers and went other places.

Go with your gut is my recommendation: contact the folks you were planning to contact anyway to get the ball rolling.

BRYC does not have a good rep in recent posts?

They send several to college of various levels every season and provide plenty of exposure but their results compared to other teams in the mid Atlantic is weak. They do develop players but they don’t have the freak athletes other clubs do and sometimes those types of players end up moving to other clubs pre-ECNL because those parents equate winning every game with development.

Depending on where you will be in FC, PWSI could be an option as well.
