My child has no known or any covid risk exposure, and we have not been to anywhere except home and daycare center, and once a week grocery shopping by parent. My child has some sneezing and coughing, so I have the rapid testing result done which was negative. That is good enough, right? No problem testing needed right?
Even my pediatrician said my child is fine and probably allergy. But, for the safe side, I have the test done. Does your daycare take rapid testing result ? |
I wonder if they also want us to do pcr done which takes 3 days for result while staying at home? |
This depends on local DOH rules, OP. |
No they dont. Weve had to be tested- all of the household members- 5 times since November. Waiting 3 days for each and having to present negative results for all members prior to returning. Once all the adults were vaccinated, we were informed that only the child has to be tested in a similar scenario. |
My pediatrician will sign the forms based on the rapid result, and my daycare takes that. |
Your daycare is just following licensing and Department of health rules. It depends on what state you live as to what test is valid. |
It varies although in general getting faster. |

Ours requires PCR, but the last test we took (through Curative) took about 16 hours. |
