Neti pot! I'm reemphasizing it because I was hesitant to try one (thought it wouldn't work) and I LOVE IT!

I had a cold last week. I took Benadryl for two nights and used lots of saline plus humidifier. You can call your OB to ask what meds are approved. Also, I took a few Halls.

I am in the same boat and not sleeping well at all. Any recommendations for humidifiers?

Go to Whole foods, pick some Byron Homeopathic remedies (made in France). They vary based on your symptoms - so it will take few minutes to choose but it works!

A terrific ayuervedic remedy - bring water to a boil, and boil cinnamon (either crushed cinnamon stick, or cinnamon powder) and black pepper (as much as you can stand) for 3 minutes, add some honey. Start with, say, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon or half a cinnamon stick, and a generous pinch of black pepper. Make it stronger next time if it doesn't have enough of a spicy kick.

My mother in law made it for me when I was congested when visiting India last year, and it worked wonders. I got sick while pregnant a few weeks back and made it a few times a day; it really helps (and, if you have enough honey tastes terrific) It worked very quickly for me. This was great, especially when Sudafed wasn't giving me quite the punch I needed to kick the congestion. Feel better!

humidifier, neti pot, hot showers, and hot tea with fresh lemon (i did 1/2 lemon per cup of tea) and organic honey - i had as many as 2 lemons per day for 2-3 days and it totally staved off a cold this winter. now i can feel the allergies setting in, hope this trick works for that too!

I'm a neti pot evangelist. I thought it was all hype but it's really a godsend. Feel better!
