Silly question: my two and a half year old son seems to have quite bad breath in the morning. I brush his teeth last thing before bedtime, and he usually lets me get a decent brush in. Then I can brush again in the morning, but is there anything else I can or should do? Toddler mouthwash? (Not sure he would go for that.) Not a big deal clearly, but would love to see his cute little face without the stinky fumes

This might be something for a dentist. Toddler could be mouth breathing at night too - any congestion or allergies?
Horrible toddler breath was the first warning that my kid had developed cold sore and it is a nightmare disease for toddlers for some reason (they develop terrible mouth ulcers and can’t eat or drink). Hope that’s not the case for you but the dentist could tell you.
Thanks! OP here - dentist was on my list, so I'll get that scheduled.
Does he use a pacifier? If so, it’s time to stop or get new ones.
