Primary Day School Outplacement

PDS announced its outplacement results today. Kids from this year's second grade class are going to a wide range of schools next year for 3rd grade, including: Holton Arms, Landon, Sidwell, GDS, St. Andrews, Stoneridge, NPS, St. Pats, Bullis, St. Barts, Milton Jewish Day School, and a number of Montgomery County Public Schools.

It was a great year of outplacement in a tough year of admissions. Parents on this forum in previous years have asked where PDS kids go to school after 2nd grade. While Holton and Landon start in 3rd grade and are often obvious choices , there are still plenty of options for those not looking to go the single sex route.

I don't know about the boys side, but Holton Arms is a big recipient of PDS 3rd graders.

True. Nearly 25% of the incoming class is made up of PDS girls.

Landon had the most as usual but it was a small percentage of the graduating boys this year. I heard less than a quarter. The others ended up all over the area, private and public.

Any insight into 2nd grade waitlist movements at PDS? We are moving to the area this summer and got waitlisted. Was told there were no spots at this time.

Stay in touch with the school. They are very nice and can keep you informed.
