2009 DD has a tournament today and tomorrow about an hour away.

Schedule was posted and shared with the team a week ago. Link to schedule plus all games with details on TeamSnap.

One of the dads sends a message this morning on team snap less than an hour before the first game asking what time the game is and if there’s a second game today. Coach replies with the game time, with more patience than I would, dad replies that they’re not gonna make it, sorry, they will be at the second game.

WTF? Even the mom who can’t figure out how to install Teamsnap on her phone (seriously, she has an iPhone with no apps because she forgot her Apple password) got her kid there. We were already short players because a few girls are quarantined and this family just blows it off. He obviously uses TeamSnap because he sent out the message this morning.

I’m so angry because my daughter and several other girls on the team have been working their asses off this season, the team has improved and was looking forward to the tournament, and people pull crap like this.

Venting here but really tempted to PM that dad and chew him out.

'totally I agree with you All the families on the team are paying a nice chunk of change so its a collective investment and he isn't pulling his weight let him know get you act together or give your roster spot to a family who will pull their weight.

OP here—I won’t. That’s why I vented here, haha.

I don’t know the family at all so no idea if they’ve got something going on. But I’m sure someone else would have been willing to carpool if they had asked.

Guest player from our other daughter’s team (who is playing because DH reached out) scored a hat trick so there’s that.

Same here. I posted the tournament weekend 8 weeks ago on TeamSnap with a link to the tournament and that the schedules would be released about 14 days before the tournament. Mom sends chat through TeamSnap about 21 days ago “sorry to be annoying but what is the tournament info...blah,blah,blah”

I responded it’s on the schedule, has been on the schedule, and the link is there also. I know it’s the end of the season, we’re all done, but there is a reason we use a central tool, LOOK AT IT.
