In what circumstance would support for Kate dwindle? Not for a divorce, not for a seriously health issue, not for a mistress. There is basically no scenario that Kate doesn't come out on top.

Support from the public. In what way has support been lost? Do you think everyone will turn on her? They didn’t with Diana despite the smear campaign. Are you too young to remember that?

Key differences…Diana was an aristocrat while Kate is a commoner. Diana actually did things, Kate actively find reasons to do nothing.

They already put out a far more shocking and impactful statement re: Charles.
It's 100% marital - particularly since Kate seems to be in camp with HER family. Going to stay with her mom and dad for an extended period of time while well enough to go out driving in full hair and makeup is not a serious ailment that she's recovering from . That's a separation.

Full hair and makeup? That is a stretch, it was a blurry long range photo. Maybe she personally doesn't want to share details. People are curious and as a woman medical privacy especially around scars or damage is very critical. I had surgery and didn't wear anything but clothing that would cover my scar until it was fully healed. I just didn't want the prying eyes out and about. I did do my hair and makeup usually too. I just wanted to look my "best" and not "hurt".

You are not the future Queen consort. While I understand it must've been rough, you had zero duty to the public. Kate has been MIA since Christmas. That is a long freaking time in the life of a very public royal. If she was well enough to drive around with her mother with makeup on and hair, she was seemingly well enough for a brief, simple photo op for the public. I mean, she had full hair and makeup (and walking) almost immediately following birth.
Kate has fled the marriage and trying to jockey for best possible terms. If the palace can announce that the king has cancer, they could've said something - anything - re: Kate.

as we have seen they already have no issue dragging her down.

They would be unsuccessful as they were with Diana. Kate has put on her good face and done her “job” for the past 15 years despite whatever messed up family dynamics she was dealing with behind the scenes.

Diana became beloved on the level she is now because she died. I wouldn't event compare the two because of how Diana acted beforehand. Kate's not going to be publicly combative like that

Here’s why I think something is wrong with their marriage:

It’s powerful when a very famous person opens up about a physical or mental health challenge.
The public pick up on honesty and millions will relate and sympathize to whatever the issue is.
Hysterectomy
Crohns
Depression
Fatigue
Eating disorder
Substance abuse
Colostomy bag
Even a face lift

You name it - there will be supporters who rally in droves because they’ve struggled too.

If this was just a medical issue I think Kate would have been savvy enough to understand the power of sharing her medical condition and reminding the world she’s a real person with medical/mental health issues.

Plus it would have been a great way to show your kids the power of being honest

But bigger forces must be at play, and Kate can’t control the narrative like she could if it was strictly a health issue
