Scores were all close. 2011s was a tie.

5-0 (09s) is close?

2010s - 6 or 7 - 0

We’ve been hearing the same charade since 2018. Just shut up and keep building more nonsense while presenting losses on your tax forms lmao

Well, considering they only started the girls academy program a few months ago, I’d say this is the starting line. Rev’s GA teams are brand new in 2024. None of the coaches or players were with Rev before 2024. And none of the players who were with Rev before 2024 are part of the GA teams. What happened is more akin to a acquisition than growth of their program. Rev acquired the majority of the GA program from FCV. We’ll see in years how that works out.

This is laughable. Over the summer the tune everyone was humming was that Revolution would be competitive since the majority of the GA teams and girls came over from St James and they were established teams. They got handled by VDA and now we're preaching patience😂

It's not the parents fault, that's what they were being sold and they believed it - competitive teams, GA level transfers from FCV (this wasn't the case based off some of the rosters)...maybe this weekend opened some eyes

VRSC's GA teams are brand spanking new and haven't been playing together for years. I don't think anyone thought they were going to be a huge threat this year.

It takes a long while for a team to gel, or even find the right group of players that work well together. It was nice they can get a feel for where they're at

There are something like 7-8 girls on each team that don't even know how to play soccer. The bench players who came from FCV were already weak and add 5-6 players from ReV and other places and you have a very weak squad. It makes it incredibly hard for the existing players who know how to play to do anything. Nobody open to receive a pass. Nobody who knows how to receive a pass, panick passing galore, kick the ball out. That's what I saw. Girls who actually know how to pass did t have anyone to pass to. This is a regression of 3-4 years for these teams. Still probably better than SJFC.

Rev will be competitive in GA. Have you seen some of the other teams in that league? FCV was the best club by far in the mid atlantic conference. Now with a good chuck of their players, Rev will be fine there though not as dominant. These games say a lot about ECNL vs GA levels

Okay Adam? If you actually understand soccer, that’s what you saw. I saw the same. Pp is absolutely accurate. And I don’t think Adam would be saying better than TSJ & get the acronyms wrong, dumbass. This board needs more soccer IQ and less Real HouseDads of the DMV.

The GA teams will need a rapid purging at rev to compete in GA. Lots of weak players coming in from old REV. If REV doesn't compete in GA, they will not get the league cred required to be a a prominent club. The best players will continue to leave as they did with the end of DA, the reemergence of ECNL and the FCV blow up. Make the important roster changes now and purge 5-6 players who can't compete. At least move them.to GA2 if a team exists. Don't ruin it for the girls who work and practice hard and have done so for 13 years by making them play with lazy players who never have made any effort to improve or are just too dense to be competitive at this level.

Wow, “too dense”.. that’s harsh! Yes, I know soccer IQ is a must for top players. But to call any youth aged athlete “too dense” is appalling! Not everyone develops early. Wow! Rosters are crazy right now, but the words out of adults talking about children are ridiculous! 7% of student athletes play beyond HS… change teams if you are that unhappy with your teams roster. And if you can’t move teams, put in the work so you can.

I agree with PP. Girls should be putting in work to get better. They are practicing 4-5 days a week already so I'm not sure what is expected of these young kids. There should be more available player slots for top leagues including the ECNL league. The ECNL is taking the opposite direction by merging local clubs in an effort to exclude entire communities from their league. The GA is expanding their league to provide more opportunities for girls to develop. Also, many teenagers are just not coachable and will never learn the athletic/game iq combo that's required to play at a higher level. This is factual and anyone who ever taught or coached teenaged kids knows that some kids will never "get it.". So both PP are correct.

Wow, things are just getting too rude and aiming harsh insults at teenage and younger girls is just uncalled for. To call a child "lazy" and "dense" is horrible. No matter how you feel you are talking about a child. Yes, a teenager is a child!

If your daughter is on this team and you feel like her teammates are pulling their weight and holding her back. Then leave and find a more fitting team for your daughter but don't name call children. Be an adult and don't target your harsh words at a child.

If you don't have a daughter on this team then leave it along. You have no concern with this team so move on.

The PP said to purge 5-6 players now. Where exactly would the replacement players come from? There aren’t any players just hanging out without a team right now. If players wanted to leave their team to join a new GA team they would have done so in the spring. We all knew adding more national platform teams would dilute the talent pool. This is what that looks like.

If the club doesn't have player to compete at GA level, how come they joined? This is about cash money. If anyone wants to criticise the treatment of teen and preteen girls, they should be saying about these various clubs that treat them as a checks. Today's travel clubs are yesterday's almost free rec league. Parent and volunteer coaches with a coaching credential. Doesn't the VDA coach who was at FCV hav the rekord for ACL ters so far.

For the new ones in class or those at the back… VRSC is known for lying through its teeth with fake presentations and PowerPoints. Basically telling paying customers what they want to hear. What a salesman does essentially. And then doing what they want once the money is in the bag. and if you want to leave and get your player card ‘oh well, you signed this contract, pay up the full tuition if you want to leave’ #onefamily

It’s kind of a chicken and egg problem. Without GA the club’s best players leave as they reach U13. You can’t expect instant success, takes years to build up the pipeline of players. And of course it’s about cash. Soccer clubs are businesses and parents are willing paying customers. Everybody knows that and no one is being tricked. Why does this all bother you so much?
