| what's the range for adding an in ground saltwater swimming pool? |
|
100-120k
Horrible cheap one is 75k a great one 200k |
| All the installers are backed up for two years. 150k is what we we’re quoted |
And ongoing maintenance and insurance! The gift that keeps on giving!
|
Ugh, pools. Good luck, OP--my understanding is 130-160k is the norm for a decent one around here. |
Not true. I had two quotes for an April 2022 finish. But it was 150k for a tiny plunge pool, so no thanks. |
Pool itself will be 60-75k. The real cost increases come from the extent of hardscaping, grading, retaining walls, and any structures like a pergola. That can be as little as 10k for a small concrete deck to hundreds of thousands for an elaborate setup with high end finishes. |
How badly does it affect HOI? |
| 45k for 10 x 16 swim spa pool with deck, dugout, concrete pit, sump etc. |
| Our bid was $150k but a year and a half wait to start |
| 300k |
Which company and when? |
This contractor is lying or the cheapest on the planet. Our swim spa and deck estimates were $150,000-$250,000 and yes they were serious. |
| Does this cost still hold for DC? I don’t see many private pools EOTR near the Maryland border but I have a flat double lot so I’m interested in learning what it would take to get a pool. Can’t imagine going through the DC permitting process though. |
| I got one built a few years ago. I didn’t need much decking. It was about $65k. |
