| Does anyone know anything about the U11 Girls teams at GFR? How are the coaches and how competitive have they been in the past? |
| If you're talking about the 2010 NPL team, they're solid. Not elite but very competitive with teams just below there. Think they qualified too for WAGS. My DD knows a couple girls on that team - good families too. |
| coach yell a lot and belittles them (at least if this is the U11 GFR team from WAGS this past fall) |
| that coach is mean. I have seen the coach yell at the team and as a parent- it is really terrible. |

R is coming from Herndon to take on a team
J left to Herndon F is not moving up and is an interesting coach with an approach which is not always pleasant to observe |
What is J like as a coach? I’ve heard very mixed reviews. |
|
J is positive and focused on player development. Difference strokes for different folks. |

Received an offer to play for U12 United. Any insight is helpful. This is NCSL.
|
The current 2010s United team is at the bottom of Division 2 in NCSL and hasn't scored a goal in over a month. Likely getting relegated for the fall. If your DD is new to travel soccer, this will be a lower level of competition. |
|
Helpful - I have been trying to find info on the coach. DD is not a top player but has grown so much over the last 12 months. May be leaving a club with 4 teams for one that has 2 and not sure how to read this.
|
| It means that that team will be playing near the bottom of NCSL. Depending on what your kid wants, that’s either a plus or a minus |
|
She wants to continue to play at the U13 level and not sure we can do this in our current club because they go down to 2 teams and there are so many girls (VYS).
|
There is no “u13” level, only mediocre, good and great levels to play on. Playing up makes no sense if it requires sacrificing the quality of the training and competition. |
| If they get relegated it may mean her team will be competitively placed for the Fall which isn’t a bad thing. |
