| Anyone have experience with verbal offers that didn’t come through? Son has a written offer from one club and verbal from another (preferred) club. Thanks! |
Ask them for formal one. |
Even though it actually is an official offer (verbally), it's best to have the emailed one. |
| We have had verbal offers rescinded when a better player pops up at the last minute. Much like a job, I have told my son not to accept to reject without an offer in hand. |
| Please don't trust verbal offers. |
You need a written offer in order to be able to “accept” by clicking a link - and then paying. |
this, at the very least immediately send an e-mail confirming it and asking for the link to register |
There is no such thing as an official verbal offer. |
| A wise man once told me, "if it isn't in writing, then it didn't happen." Pretty much true with all things. |

If I was going to trust a coach to train my child, I would have to trust in them following up on a verbal offer.
Go with the gut. |
Except he didn't put that in writing did he... |
