So no surprise to see BSC Academy 1 in the finals, but I didn't expect to see a PPA team there.
Has PPA gotten better, or is this just an aberration? |
I guess so. I thought you were discussing the girls u12 since it's also PPA vs. Bethesda. I know the PPA 2009 girls are good. |
That's funny...I went back to look to make sure I wasn't mistaken, and sure enough, that's the finals in both the boys and girls U12. |
Both PPA teams are top 5 in MD according to youth soccer rankings |
| Folks, if you really know what is going on at younger ages, this is not a surprise. They have consistently beaten a lot of top teams this year and are showing year over year improvement. Really good coaches and they play the right way. At the end of the day, a jersey and badge are just a jersey and badge. |

Aberration. In that age group, they took on a few very good players trained elsewhere. They play on two teams.
|
We have played them the last two years. They were not materially different. |
| Wow! Who knew? |

What is that exactly? |
If this is not a PPA promoting itself because it sure seems like it, you'd know that most of those players are new. |
Let me guess - they were among the many that left Achilles. |
I'm really curious about this. My son is on a lower PPA 09 team, and we were told that there were a lot of 09 kids playing up over the last few years, and they decided to bring them back to their normal age year team, which is why there where so many new kids on Green. Many other kids were pushed to lower teams because of this. Is that not true? Don't get me wrong, if they picked up a bunch of really good kids from other programs, I would be fine with that...but it would be odd to lie about it. |
Why are you surprised? Your kid plays for PPA, nice try but next time just say it. |
Get over yourself...not everyone has an agenda. I'm the OP...I have a kid on a lower level BSC team, saw the results, and was curious. Period. |
