| I need to lose 40 pounds. I have noticed that I tend to overeat at dinner, when seating with family, and relaxing after a very stressful day of work. I feel that I have tried everything (dieting, exercise, acupuncture, working with two different nutritionists...). I lose weight and pounds come back (and more). I am now thinking of just skipping dinner and replacing with a meal substitute. Has anyone had a successful experience with this approach? Any recommendation (I am 55)? Thanks |
| If your problem is overeating, skipping a meal is setting you up to fail. Cut down on the bad foods to over eat and make more of good foods. You need to train yourself not to overeat. Chew gum when you're done. Brush your teeth. Have tea or something to drink instead. |

It sounds like you're stressed out and food is a tool for coping. Have you found other ways to deal with stress?
