Maybe this can cheer you all up? Reasons kids cry.

I thought of the mom of her 2-year-old being exhausted by her fussy kid. Then this popped up on my feed. It is so ridiculous I can't stop smiling while watching it!

Very cute, but where are all the kids of color?

Yes, there are no kids of color. Yet, I find your nitpicking on a funny video insane.
And I study CRT and identity politics!
It is a video, nothing more. If anything, white people should be embarrassed by their white kids!

Sorry to bother you with my “nitpicking,” but I’m AA and I can’t help but notice that type of thing.

Nitpick away. I’m white and I notice all the time. People need to be called out on it or they never notice.

Thank you. I always wonder how does this happen - how are various videos of so many kids rounded up and none (nearly none? I might have seen an Asian kid) are people of color? My kids always notice. They should have asked me! I have a video of my kid crying because his sister was singing HIS favorite song, the nerve.

NP. I'm white, I noticed it too, and I really appreciate you speaking up. I think just becoming more aware of these types of things is important.

My husband and I recently got rid of a bunch of very old children's books (as in owned by our parents when they were kids) because they completely lacked diversity. While there was nothing "bad" in those books, the only-white-kids-and-smiling-apron mothers was certainly not good. Some people will roll their eyes at this awareness, but hopefully some of us will reflect and grow with what we create, consume and share.

Why do people make everything about race? I’ve seen many videos like this on YT with kids of color.

Omg. Thread ruined.

Lemme guess, you’re white.

I'm going back to the original spirit of this thread. My kid cried last night because she was burping too much and couldn't reach to pat her own back.

NP if they made a whole video on AA kids crying, people would call it racist and trying to stereotype AAs as bad parents.

Offend if you do, offend if you don't.
