implantation bleeding

So from what I have read it can happen 1 to 2 days after implantation. I don't think I had it with our first child so this in new to me. I had some brownish on the tp and just figured it was my af starting 3 days early, which is rare with me but I figured who knows. Put the tampon in just in case (no lectures on that) took it out hrs later and it was clean. I am praying the af staying away.

Are you using any progesterone suppositories? They sometimes cause spotting for me. How many dpo are you? There is a very good chance you are experiencing implantation spotting. Give it another couple of days and if AF isn't on the scene, then POAS or get a beta done asap.

I had bright red blood 5 days post Natural cycle FET and my beta at 14 dpt was 587 so it was for real! GL

I just realized I should have posted in this forum, but it was on the same topic:


I'm about 8 DPO and AF not due until Friday. Started spotting some on Friday, and it's continued off and on, still ongoing today. It's light spotting, but bright red and a little stringy (sorry if TMI) - lighter than my period and it's way too early for that anyway. Can implantation bleeding be bright red? Can it last for a few days? HPT was negative yesterday morning, and I have on more (Target brand so maybe not that sensitive) to try tomorrow morning. Should I try to see the dr? Any point?

OP here, I am 11 dpo, from what I have read this is within normal range for implantation bleeding. Still nothing more after that first brownish blood. Praying AF stays away.

To OP and PP,
Yes, I've had implantation bleeding with 2 pregnancies. The first time it was red/pink and lasted for a few days. I thought it was an early period and didn't realize I was pg for weeks until the morning sickness started. With the second pg it was more brownish and very scant (and started at 11dpo too). That time it actually lasted on and off until I was 11 weeks pregnant. So, both types could be implantation bleeding.

My implantation spotting was at 8dp5dt (FET)...bright red bleed, quite significant. I thought AF had started. Luckily I had just had a LP hormone check that day, and when I called into the nurse to ask if I should stop my hormone injections...she told me my hormones were such that it couldn't POSSIBLY be AF. 8 months later, I had my twinkies.
