Where to buy a cruiser style bike?

Was totally unsure which forum to put this under.
I got a notification that Walmart had 4 in stock, and they were marked down to $13 (whaaaat!) Sped over there at opening at 7 am, and went to bike section. A manager asked if he could help, and I showed him the website. He laughed and said yeah, they were clearanced out last year and we found 4 in the back, so they system dropped them to $13. I said where are they? He said oh, the guys and I bought them before opening. Gonna make some money on marketplace! I asked if I could buy one, and he laughed and walked away... I know $13 is an absolute steal, but now I had my heart set on getting a bike and biking with my kids. And now that I am looking, NObody has any cruiser style bikes in stock until mid-late summer. I'm a single mom + public school teacher in Maryland so budget is not very high. But I want to love it since it's a splurge and I never buy things for me. I have been telling people I wanted one of these since like the 90s in high school haha. Any insights or ideas where I could look and find one ASAP / less than $300 / still cute? (Bonus for rear rack + basket, as I have 3 under 7 and will have the baby on a seat). Thanks y'all!! |

| I got one at an estate sale on half price day for $17.50. I bought it for the basket, comfort seat, lights and lock. Turns out it was actually a pretty expensive bike. That will be tricky to find, but maybe try craigslist. |

| Bikes are still hard to come by. A friend sold his mountain bike on FB marketplace for $500 last week and found it listed on Craigslist the next day for $1700. |
