Is advanced math at risk of being removed in Maryland?

VA DOE has a VMPI initiative which is in the process of removing acceleration and honors classes in math and putting all kids in the same level on grounds of equity.
Recent public pushback ahs caused them to walkback the plans.

Is anything similar underway in Maryland. VMPI said there were 22 states participating in this reform, which also involved dumping algebra, geometry, algebra 2 as standalone classes and instead combining them with stats, data analysis, and modeling.
