Am I being overpaid or underpaid? Or on the contrary am I overthinking and I’m being rewarded accordingly with the current market demand/supply status?
It’s a very rich area here in NOVA and while I’m exploiting it to the fullest I wanna make sure I’m not losing $ on the way. My fellow Day traders know how much of a difference a couple of thou can make. Especially with dogecoin soaring. |
What age group and tier team? Do you have to deal with Arlington or McLean parents? |
| That's not bad. The under the table money from that fat kid's dad at tryouts will put you over the top. |
| Don’t forget extra sessions for the benchwarmers - not all coaches tap that revenue source |
| ??? |
| What does that work out to per hour? 10 hours a week, 40 weeks, 400 hours = $37.50 per hour. Seems reasonable |
10 hours a week? That’s laughable. I spent at least that much time coaching one rec team when you consider the admin aspects, planning etc. |
All jobs don't pay for all admin or planning. Ask teachers who grade papers at home. |
Agree but don’t use that as an excuse to diminish how much time is spent in this vocation. The clock doesn’t start and end when the training sessions are or when the match kicks off. You are acting naive. |
Not an excuse. Simply stated a fact. |
| OP how many hours a week in season do you think you spend for your club/teams, including hours for multiple tournaments, travel etc. |
| Op needs other coaches to respond. |
| Another coach here. That's definitely an acceptable rate given that you're in a high income area for a C license. Comparable to someone with a B license in a middle income area. |
| C license coach here. Really depends on whether you have 2x or 3x training per week, what league/tournaments you participate in, and whether or not it’s a top team for a top club, which necessitates much more off the field engagement. You could have a cush gig, be underpaid, or be paid fairly depending on the answers. |
