Still in search of kitchen layout/inspiration pics w no sink on the island, and only one other wall where stove and sink need to go.
Does the stove/range still stay in the center across the island?
Should we add a window to each side, and have the sink under one of these windows? Will the other window now make the kitchen look unbalanced?

If you only have one wall, why are you so opposed to having the sink in the island? From a balance perspective, that is much more functional (and completes the sink/fridge/stove triangle instead of having them in a line)

OP here, because I just love love love islands with nothing on them. But wondering if I will hate the lack of balance later.

There was a thread here long ago on how much people actually love having nothing on their islands vs. with a sink.

I feel like in this case function should trump form. Islands without sinks may be gorgeous (form), but if it makes your kitchen less functional, it's still a bad decision. Kitchen sinks in islands really aren't the end of the world.
