Infertility Support and Discussion
| I have been using these ovulations strips to determine my LH surge. I never noticed that the test band matched the control in terms of darkness last month. And this month I tested for the past three days and noted that the test band was lighter than the control so I assumed I have not ovulated yet. However, when I tested today there was no test band at all. So, my question is, if you have used the CVS brand have you found the test band to be lighter when an LH surge is detected. |
| I had the same experience - I think if you get a band then that is the surge |
| I would get the Clearblue Easy Ovulation Predictor Kit. It's more expensive, but so much easier to use and more accurate and if you're really wanting a baby, it's well worth the extra $$. |
Sorry I was wrong. The test band should be the same or darker to be positive - thats what it says in the instructions. Maybe I shouldn't have answered that question since I only started using the strips myself. I got a light band on my expected day and assumed that it was the surge. My BBT didn't change within a couple of days so I started taking the test again. This time it was clearly positive and my temp changed two days later. I wonder if you didn't get the surge or missed it? I heard that you might want to test 2X a day to detect it. Maybe you should talk to your Dr. |
