We currently have a Range Rover and a Volvo XC90. My 3 kids cannot sit in the back seat of the Range without fighting. Looking for a nice SUV with 3 rows. I love captain chairs but would like the option of being able to fit a 7th person for when my parents visit.
Can you recommend a good 3 row SUV? I do not want a minivan. My kids like the Tesla X but I am not a fan of the winged doors. I will probably test drive the Mercedes GLS 450 and the Lexus LX and RX. Anything else I should add to my test drive list? |
RX does not have 3 rows. Try Toyota Highlander |
|
The Highlander is not a luxury vehicle. The RX dies have the option for a third row.

Lincoln Navigator
Anything with a third row will have no space in the third row or no cargo space with the third row up. |
| Mercedes GLS 450. My kids love the captain’s chairs. |

The RX 350L does |
A suburban has the space and can be spec'd out to be a luxury vehicle. You can also do a Yukon XL Denali and pay a bit more for the same car with a slightly better trim |
|
GMC and Chevy are not luxury no matter how much money you spend to trick them out.
Mercedes or Escalade |
| ...or BMW x7 |
three spacious rows from Mercedes isn't going to happen. If you want to be the person who drives an Escalade, go more power to you |
| I've been a tall adult in the third row of my friend's GLS with bench seating - it's not exactly roomy but it's fine for short distances. I think people who want 7 tall people to fit very comfortably are kind of hoping for too much. |
| NP. There is a gap in the market for this. |
| Did you try the Audi Q7 and new MDX? Probably both are too small. |
| Bentley Bentayga |
