| After using botox for the first time I've noticed I look older. I got it on my forehead. Once the botox wore off in a few months I looked older than before getting this. Anyone else have this happen? Can this be reversed? |
| You just forgot how old you look lol |
| OP here. I'm being objective. I'm comparing myself to pictures and there's a HUGE difference in the span of a few months. |
| What specifically looks older? |
|
Yeah, OP... if you mean you looked older right when you got it, it could be something like they did too much in the center of your forehead, which could have caused droopy lids or something.
If you look older now AFTER it wore off, then you probably just got used to how you looked with it and are hyperaware of how old you look now. Or that hyperawareness might have been combined with the fact that your skin aged in other ways over the past 3-6 months-- skin texture, you got a new age spot, jowling a big. |
| Pictures aren't always "objective" either. What's the issue? |
|
it's probably just photo lighting.
I just got xeomin today |
|
You ARE older, OP.
Some months are crueler than others. If you got it 6 months ago, and now it’s worn off, and you’re comparing now to how you looked in November.... then yes you will look older |
| OP here. So what looks older is how noticeable the forehead wrinkles are when I scrunch my face. It's been 5 months. I look at least 5 years older in my pre compared to post botox photos. The botox lasted for about 3 months. For the first 2.5 months my forehead muscles didn't move, but once it completely wore off I was left with wrinkles MUCH more pronounced than when I started. |
| Well sounds like the only thing to do is inject more poison into those wrinkles. |
| I am guessing the photo was forgiving, and that in reality you grew accustomed to your unlined face. I really don’t think you aged five years in 5 months - even if there were some kind of wonky side effect, that would be extreme. You are hyper-focused on whatever lines you see as the Botox wears off. |
| Accept your age and give up Botox. |
when you scrunch doesn't matter. it's when you are relaxed that matters. how etched the wrinkles are |
| Are you in your 30s or 40s? |
I’m in my 30s. Now I feel like I have to keep getting Botox because I look terrible without it
