Travel to Israel

Anonymous
Someone asked whether people would travel to Israel this summer. A number of people said that they would never travel to Israel because they disapproved of Israel's policies to Palestinians. A number of people responded that they thought that was a misguided reason not to travel to Israel.

You deleted the latter posts, but left the former. Why?

If you took the view that politics should stay out of a travel post, I could understand that. But that would mean deleting all posts that provided a politically based answer to OP's question, not only deleting one side of the discussion.

The posts that I removed didn't simply call the posters "misguided" but essentially called them anti-Semites. Given your mischaracterization of the posts, I don't trust that you are asking about this in good faith. As such, I am not interested in having this conversation.

You don't want to have the discussion because you realize that you are being hypocritical. And it is you who is mischaracterizing the posts. Some of the posts noted that people proposing to boycott Israel seem perfectly fine visiting other countries with far worse records, and other posts simply disputed the characterization of Israel's human rights record. You can agree or disagree, but if someone makes certain claims posters should be allowed to dispute them.

You are a liar. I did not remove any post that disputed the characterization of Israel's human rights record and none of the posters who were criticized for traveling to other countries specified which countries they visited. Therefore, there is no way to know whether they traveled to countries with "far worse records". These lies are further examples of your willingness to engage in bad faith discussion and demonstrate the uselessness of my engaging in any discussion with you.
