Night weaning

Anonymous
My 1 y/o still wakes up to nurse twice a night (I know this is not necessary and am looking for help). We‘ve tried sleep training (TCB) with scheduled feeds, which worked for 2 days until he got sick. I‘ve also tried reducing the feeding by one minute a night, but this sometimes leads to an hour or more of screaming.
We want to cut out all feeds, in hopes of breaking the sleep association. Would it be best to go cold turkey, do gradually decreasing scheduled feeds (not in response to crying), or continue to try reducing by one minute a night when he initiates the feed? Alternatively, would it be better to have my husband give a
bottle instead of me nursing?
Thanks in advance for all helpful suggestions.

Go cold turkey. It rough but for me it only took 2 nights.

We did this cold turkey. Took 2 weeks with DH going in for the first 3 days to comfort. Of course then teething hit full force at 15 months and I'm back to nursing after medication st 2-3 am. Ugh.
