Email from APS w incorrect 2021-2022 selection information

Anonymous
I just received an email from APS confirming all virtual for my DC next year. We have selected all in person (checked and confirmed in ParentVue). Did anyone else receive an email with the wrong info?

Nope, I’d call your school admin.

I got an email for one of my kids, but it was the correct information.
Just in case, I’m going to screenshot the Parentvue page that shows all of
my kids are enrolled in full-time in person. I don’t trust APS anymore to get this right.

Mine was correct but I thought it was interesting that this was at the bottom of the email....

That’s been at the bottom of all emails for years.

I saw a guy post on Next Door that he received an email with incorrect information (same as you, the email said he had picked virtual, but they had intended to select in person). Someone else responded that it was a problem and APS had sent about 2000 incorrect emails before fixing it. No direct experience though.

Nottingham sent out an email saying there was a system glitch that sent incorrect emails to about 2000 families, but that no ones selections had been changed and families would be getting corrected notices.

It has not been on any of the other updates sent (superintendent emails, etc). Given the recent FOIA drama, found it interesting.

It has been on the bottom of all emails I’ve had with my kids’ schools in the 8 years we’ve been in APS.

DP. If should be at the bottom of any email you get from teacher or administrator. The school talk ones don’t have it, but I have saved emails going back a few years that have a FOIA notice on the bottom. It’s not new.

This is standard language at the bottom of all emails from govt workers.

It’s been a very rough year for APS.

FWIW: If, in the subject line, you write "confidential student information" it can't be FOIA-ed. It can still be called up in administrative procedures or for legal reasons but not by ventilation mom just because she's curious about you.
