Soccer in between rec and travel

Is there anything in the Mclean/Arlington area that is a little more than Rec soccer but not as intensive as travel?
For a U10 boy. Thank you!!

I think ADP is exactly in between. There are also smaller clubs that have a different vibe that your child might like better. Premier AC in Falls Church?

BRYC has bridge teams that fit that bill, but probably too far for you.

Find a club that is in the Suburban Friendship League. It's "rec" but teams travel to paly other teams in the area. Also, given all the talen in Northern Virginia, it might be sufficient: challenging enough with a little local travel sprinkled in.

I'm not sure that fits the bill--they will be in NCSL, too, so the intensity of competition will be the same as it is for any other U10 travel club in the area.

It might apply if not as intense means less serious coaching and team commitment expectations, but it would still be in NCSL/a competitive travel league.

at older ages you'll have kids who dropped travel for other sports or just didn't want to devote the time anymore playing there. Some of the teams can be very good

ADP. That’s exactly what the program is for. I can stay on the team until they are 12 with tryouts each year. Most choose to play ADP and rec so they’re getting three practices a week and two games.

PPA premier is like this if you’re not in the top team. Games are all at the MD SoccerPlex.
