Documents uncovered by this newspaper show the paedophile paid private detectives to remove equipment from his Florida home in an apparent attempt to prevent investigators from finding it. The documents also show that he rented six storage units across the US and used them to house items from his properties, including computers from Little Saint James, his private island in the Caribbean He leased at least one unit from 2003, when he was part of a Florida social set that included Donald Trump. Credit card receipts obtained by The Telegraph show regular storage payments continued until 2019, the year of his death. Search warrants reviewed by The Telegraph suggest US authorities never raided the lockers, raising the possibility that they may contain unseen evidence relating to Epstein and his associates, including Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Lord Mandelson. |

Andrew charged taxpayers for massage services when envoy, claim ex-civil servants
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdr232j8kgvo Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor charged taxpayers for massages and excessive travel costs while working as the UK's trade envoy, whistleblowing retired civil servants have claimed. One former civil servant, who worked in the UK's trade department in the early 2000s, had been so annoyed by Andrew's request to cover the cost of "massage services" that he'd refused to pay it, but says he was overruled by senior staff. The Department for Business and Trade has not challenged the claim about Andrew's time as envoy, between 2001 and 2011, but has referred to the ongoing police investigation into the former prince. The former senior Whitehall official said he had been shocked by the scale of Andrew's lavish spending as envoy, including what he thought were excessive flights and unreasonable numbers of hotel rooms and charges for his entourage. He says costs disappeared into different budgets, making them hard to trace, and there was little certainty over who had been in Andrew's entourage. |

All these posts about billionaires are the problem and we shouldn't have these....what is your plan exactly? In an individualistic, capitalistic society that worships money, a few will end up ultra rich.
The ultra rich pay off the governent so taxing them more will never happen. Even if they are the problem, we can't eliminate this problem, so more useful to figure out how to live with them. (I'm not a billionaire, and I wish life were more fair and all people had compassion and worked toward the good for all.) |
